One ft rise in water level in Mettur dam

: More inflow into Mettur dam due to good rains in the catchment areas has resulted in a one foot increase in the water level to 43.18 feet, PWD officials said.

The inflow was 7198 cusecs, up from 6,184 cusecs and the outflow was 800 cusecs, they said.

The full level of the dam is 120 feet.
