One held with counterfeit notes

Acting on a tip-off, Waqil was arrested with 44 fake notes in the denomination of Rs 500 each at Baniyather area yesterday.

During interrogation, he told police that he had got the notes from one of this relatives.

Efforts are on to nab the relative, police said.
