One person killed in road accident in Punjab

A 60-year-old man was killed, while his two daughters suffered injuries after a truck hit their motorcycle near Baghapurana here, the police said today.

The man has been identified as Malkiat Singh, the police said.

His daughters have been hospitalised.

The accident took place last night when the three were going to their native Bhagta Bhai Ka village, police said.

Police have registered a case against the truck driver, who is absconding.
