The O Panneerselvam-led Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction of the ruling AIADMK held a meeting here today, on a day when leader of the party's Amma camp and Chief Minister K Palaniswami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Panneerselvam chaired a meeting of AIADMK MPs and MLAs who had joined his camp, besides other senior leaders.
The former chief minister said party founder late M G Ramachandran's birth centenary celebration was discussed at the meet.
Incidentally, Palaniswami, who met Modi in Delhi this morning, has invited the Prime Minister to attend the valedictory of the ongoing MGR birth centenary celebrations in December as the chief guest.
He has informed the PM that the state government was holding the celebrations in a grand and befitting manner throughout 2017 across Tamil Nadu which would culminate with the valedictory in December.
