Over 24 students were injured, four severely, when the school bus carrying them rammed into a roadside tree in the district today, police said.
The incident occured in Sardhana town when a bus of Cambridge Public school carrying many students rammed into a tree, injuring most of them, area police officer Brijesh Kumar said.
According to the bus driver, Gulshan, the mishap took place due to a technical snag in the steering wheel of the vehicle.

Although, intial police investigation has revealed that the bus was going at a high speed and when it hit a speed breaker, a student got hurt and screamed. When the driver tried to look back to check the student, the bus rammed into the tree, police said.
All the injured students were taken to a nearby hospital where condition of four children is stated to be critical, Kumar said.
