Over 4 kg of ketamine seized at airport

In a joint operation, sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau and customs nabbed a Malaysia-bound passenger and seized over four kg of banned drug Ketamine at the Bengaluru International Airport.

Customs department said in a release here today that Joseph Balasingh (58) was intercepted at the airport immigration area on Tuesday and search of his baggage led to the seizure.

He had concealed 4.8 kg of the drug in ten laptop/PC Tablet bags and put them in a stroller bag.

He was remanded in judicial custody.
