Over Rs 10 lakh seized in Pauri

Two persons were held today in Pauri district after being found in possession of unaccounted cash worth Rs 10.86 lakh.

The duo was held from Jwalpa mod (turn) on Kotdwar road by a flying squad of state police after they could not give satisfactory reply about the amount they were carrying, the state election office here said.

The amount has been seized and its origin is being ascertained, it said.

The area from where the cash was recovered falls under Chaubatakhal constituency of Pauri district.
