Panchayat samiti officer in ACB net

A technical officer attached to the Panchayat Samiti of Eatapalli in the district was arrested red-handed by the anti-corruption bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 last night.

The accused was identified as Ravi Kondawar.

He had allegedly demanded bribe from a farmer for release of funds due to the labourers for digging a water tank under the Rashtriya Gramin Rozgar Hami Yojna.

After the farmer approached the ACB, a team comprising inspector D W Mandalwar, M S Tekam, Moreshwar Lakde, Vithoba Sakhre, Satish Kattiwar, Sudhakar Dandikwar, Milind Gedam, Mahesh Kukudkar and others under the guidance of Sanjay Darade, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Kishor Supare, Deputy SP laid a trap and caught the accused at the Panchayat Samiti office.
