The railway users' consultative committees have slammed the 'Rail Passenger and Customer Facilitation Fortnight' being observed by all railway zones since Tuesday, saying it is not helping much in reducing the woes of passengers or improving services.
Divisional Railways Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) member of Mumbai Division (Western Railway) Rajiv Singal alleged that railway was doing all exercise on papers only by giving different names. That is why the passengers' plight has not lessened.
Another DRUCC member T N Dubey said even as the passenger facilitation initiatives were being discussed by rail officers, he was stranded as the LTT-Haridwar Superfast Express that he had to board was late by seven hours today.
