National Conference (NC) today accused Opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) of indulging in political opportunism in Jammu and Kashmir.
"PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed is trying to weaken Jammu and Kashmir's strong political base and indulging in political opportunism," NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana said while addressing a rally at Loran and Gali Pindi in Poonch.
"How can the PDP mislead people both in the Kashmir and Jammu regions after getting exposed for hobnobbing with BJP in seeking support for its proxy candidates during the local bodies elections?" he asked.
Referring to the progress registered in various sectors of development, Rana said the biggest achievement of the present dispensation has been to restore peace, normalcy and to instill a sense of confidence among the people.
On his party's alliance with Congress, Rana added that the two parties shared common principles of secularism, democracy and supremacy of the people's will.
