PFC extends Rs 1329 Cr financial assistance to Uttarakhand

State-run Power Finance Corp (PFC) said today that it has extended financial assistance of Rs 1,329 crore to state power utilities of Uttarakhand.

The PFC provided Rs 309 crore to Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UJVNL) for renovation and modernisation and upgradation of Chilla Hydroelectric Project, it said in a statement.

PFC will also provide Rs 1,020 crore to Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand (PTCUL) for implementation of various transmission schemes.

Loan documents for Chilla HEP and the MoU for execution of loan documents for Rs 817 crore were executed between PFC and UJVNL and PTCUL respectively at a recent event in Dehradun, it said.
 

The PTCUL had earlier executed loan documents for financial assistance amounting to Rs 203 crore with the PFC.
