Picnicker dies in road mishap

A picnicker was killed and another injured when a motorcycle, driven on high speed, skidded off the road at Duttapukur in North 24 Parganas district tonight.

Police said, Tapas Biswas (36), riding pillion of the two-wheeler, died on the spot while his friend, on the driver's seat, got injured.

The duo had accompanied a group of picnickers from Panihati area of the district to a farm in Duttapukur.
