A case has been registered against a group of boys for allegedly using a laser-beam flashing equipment near the Shamshabad international airport here, police said Tuesday.
The incident happened in the early hours of March 16, airport and police sources said.
Airport sources said the pilot of an international airline noticed the laser beam while landing the plane at the airport and reported it to the air traffic controller who in turn informed airport authorities.
Police said a group of boys were allegedly playing with a laser equipment near the international airport during a birthday celebration, though it was not clear if its beams "impacted or caused any inconvenience" to the pilot in landing the plane bound for Hyderabad from Dubai.
A case was later registered.
