PM extends Tamil New year greetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted Tamilians on the occasion of the Tamil New Year.

"My best wishes to my Tamil friends on Puthandu (new year). I pray that the coming year marks the fulfilment of all your wishes & brings happiness," he said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The Prime Minister extended his greetings both in Tamil and English, as did his cabinet colleague and Minister of state for Power, Piyush Goyal.
