Police said initial probe suggests that the firing incident was an outcome of personal enmity between Singh's family and the victims' family.
The police said Bir Singh's family had been harassing the family of Prakash, who hails from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, for some time. While Prakash used to work at a garment factory in Okhla Industrial area, Amit worked with an export company.
Giving details about the firing incident, a police official said the incident took place around 10 pm last night when Amit was on his way to his home.
"Sachin, a notorious criminal, and Amit's neighbour Bir Singh were waiting in their car for him (Amit) as they wanted to settle scores of a prolonged personal enmity between the two families," the official said.
Amit was about to reach his house on his two-wheeler vehicle when Sachin obstructed his way by opening the gate of his car, he said.
"Amit fell down and after coming out from his car, Sachin fired two shots killing Amit on the spot," the officer said.
When Amit's parents came out hearing the gun-shots, Sachin opened fire at them as well, he added.
"At the time of the incident, other family members of Amit were also present inside the house. But after hearing the gunshots, they closed the house's door. Sachin tried to attack them as well by firing several rounds on the door," he said.
After firing around 10 rounds, Sachin fled from the spot along with Bir Singh, they added.
After they left, the police was informed and the victims were taken to the hospital, the official said.
