Police driver killed in accident after stonepelting on vehicle

A police driver was today killed after he lost control over his vehicle and rammed it into a pole following stone-pelting by miscreants at Palhalan in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Kanwal Nain Singh lost control over his bus when a group of people returning from Eid prayers pelted stones at the vehicle at Palhalan, 35 kms from here, a police spokesman said.

He said Singh died in the accident.

Police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident, he added.
