Police foiled a bid to loot passengers of a taxi in Jammu city and arrested three persons in this connection, officials said today.
Four youths on two motor-cycles intercepted a taxi near Manda belt on the Jammu-Srinagar highway midnight last night and tried to loot its occupants.
As passengers resisted their attempt, police from a nearby checkpost arrived at the scene, they said.

The youths immediately fled on their bikes but after a long chase, police arrested three of them, one of them an employee of the Municipal Corporation of Batala, the officials said.
The fourth one managed to escape and efforts were on to track him down, they said.
