Four minor tribal girl students, who went missing since last Monday, were suspected to have been abducted from Pohra village in Gumla district, police said.

The Officer-in-charge of Ghagra police station, Pankaj Singh said the parents of the girls have lodged a case today, four days after they went missing.

The girls, all students of a high school. Three of the girls were 13-year-old while one was 12-year-old.

Singh did not rule the possibility of involvement of human traffickers taking them to Delhi.

He said efforts are on to retrieve the girls with the help of Delhi police but in vain so far.

The parents claimed that all the girls had left home for school on Monday last but did not return.
