Press Trust of India Jaipur
Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria today said policemen do not get the "treatment" from the public which they deserve despite working with dedication and in challenging situations even as he asked the force to bring improvement in their behaviour while dealing with the public.

Addressing policemen at a training programme in Rajasthan Police Academy, he said policemen should be polite in dealing with the public which in turn will improve the image of the police department.

He said it is disappointing that the personnel despite working in challenging situations do not get the desired respect.

In the programme titled 'Improvement in Police behaviour', DGP Manoj Bhatt said policemen are recruited to serve the public.

Other senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
