Police have registered a complaint of sexual exploitation of children against the warden of a hostel in Porbandar.
Raju Kanani, who was the warden of a hostel run by Loahana (Raghuvashi) community in Porbandar, has been absconding, police said.
The complaint was registered against him yesterday under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for sexually exploiting ten children living in the hostel.
The victims were between the ages of eight to thirteen.
"We have filed complaint against Raju Kanani on the basis of application submitted by Prakash Pandit, chairman of Child Welfare Committee of the district," a police officer said.
The crime came to light when a couple of children informed their parents. Hostel trustees immediately sacked Kanani thereafter.
