Pranab returns to Delhi, goes to hospital to see his ailing

President Pranab Mukherjee returned here shortly after midnight tonight cutting short his visit to Odhisa after his wife Suvra fell ill and was hospitalised.

On landing here, the President drove straight to the Army's Research and Referral Hospital in Cantonment area to see his wife.

Official sources said Suvra, who has been ill for sometime, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

The President was on a two-day visit to Odhisa and he was scheduled to attend a convocation of National Law University at Cuttack.
