Pregnant policewoman stabbed to death in Xinjiang

Two knife-wielding motorcyclists attacked a police station and killed a pregnant policewoman in in China's restive Xinjiang province.

The attack occurred on Friday near a market in Pishan county in Hotan Prefecture.

The attackers stabbed the policewoman who was two months pregnant, state-run CCTV reported.

Xinjiang, restive over native Muslim Uygur's resentment over settlements of Hans, China's dominant community from other parts of the country, has witnessed a surge in attacks.
