Prez to inaugurate renovated sports complex tomorrow

President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate a renovated state-of-the-art sports complex in Rashtrapati Bhavan premises tomorrow.

The facility, which was earlier available for children of officers working in President's Secretariat, will now be extended to kids of all employees.

As of now, 15 children are undergoing training of Tennis, Table Tennis and Squash under the supervision of three coaches.

Press Secretary Venu Rajamony said it is a pilot initiative by the President. After reviewing the success of the project, they will think of expanding the disciplines.

15-year-old Nisha Sagar who is undergoing squash training just can't wait to be at the stadium.
 

"I had never heard the name of the sport before I started playing it few months back. I really enjoy playing squash and wait for my classes," Nisha said.

One of the employees of President's Estate also said, "None of the Presidents before this has taken such a step for our children. Our children would be benefited by this.
