Prof arrested on charges of sexually harassing schoolgirl

A college professor was arrested at Kuthalam in the district today for allegedly sexually harassing a schoolgirl, one of his pupils at a coaching centre in the town.

Police said the professor took classes in the centre run by his wife at Kuthalam and sexually harassed a ninth standard girl who attended his classes.

The girl informed her parents who then lodged a complaint with police, following which he was arrested.
