Prostitution racket busted in Puducherry, nine held

A prostitution racket has been busted here with the arrest of nine people, police said Tuesday.

Eight women, including one from West Bengal and another from Tamil Nadu, were rescued during the raids conducted at a house, a hotel and massage parlour, senior superintendent of police (Law and Order) Apporva Gupta said in a release.

The release said the raids were conducted following information that prostitution was going on in these places.
