Scores of people, mostly women, today blocked Jammu-Pathankote national highway for about two hours demanding arrest of the main accused in an attack on some youth in Samba district on August 17.
The protesters also gave a deadline of four days to the police to arrest the main accused.
They were later pacified by the police which promised to arrest the main accused as soon as possible.

"We have registered a case under various sections of IPC and arrested four people," SSP Samba, Anil Magotra said.
He further said that hunt for main accused was on.
A group of people, allegedly led by one Rafiq, attacked and injured some boys in Bari Brahamana area on August 17.
