Protests over controversial content on social networking site

Protests were witnessed today in few parts of Punjab over the posting of controversial content on a social networking website that allegedly hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs.

Protesters today demanded strict action against an UK-based NRI who allegedly uploaded the content on the site, sources said.

The protesters included several Sikh outfits, including Dashmesh Tarna Dal. They also demanded the immediate arrest of the accused, the sources added.
