Provide books to SC students by May-end: Punjab SC Commission

The Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission today directed state's School Education and Welfare Departments to supply books by May 31 to SC students studying in government schools.

Instructions had also been issued to these departments to ensure medical check up of students belonging to the SC category, Rajesh Bagha, chairperson of the Commission, said.

On media reports regarding non-supply of books, he said concerned departments had been asked to do the needful by May 31 and submit compliance reports.
