Punjab govt seeks applications for subsidy on paddy choppers

The Punjab government has invited applications from farmers to avail subsidy on purchase of paddy straw chopper/shredder-cum-spreader on or before August 10, 2015.

An official spokesperson said subsidy to the tune of 50 per cent or Rs 1 lakh, whichever less, will be provided.

He said interested farmers could avail of this scheme by filing applications in a fixed format, along with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs 5,000 in favour of the Punjab State Farms Commission.
