Punjab government has sought report from all the departments on cases for which departmental inquiry has been marked and reports are pending for more than 6 months.
An official spokesperson of the Personnel Department said that departments have been directed to explain the reasons responsible for the delay of inquiry of such case.
He said that detailed written instructions in this regard have been issued to all the departmental heads, Financial Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries.

He said that report of only those departmental inquiry cases have been sought upon which were not completed from the past 6 months.
He said that after the report is received from all the departments, revised instructions with amended timeline for such cases will be issued.
