Punjab government has introduced a scheme to streamline the distribution of chemical fertilisers and ensure its availability at affordable prices.
Stating this here today, spokesperson of the agriculture department said the main objective of the scheme is to make fertilisers easily available to farmers during peak demand period.
He said an outlay of Rs 25 crore has been provided in 12th Five Year Plan for fertilisers, and a sum of Rs 5 crore will be spent during 2013-14.
