Punjab: Three get life term for raping two girls

Additional Sessions Judge K K Bansal awarded life term to Arjun Singh, Dewan Chand and Hans Raj after holding them guilty of raping the two sisters.

On January 22, 2007, a case was lodged against four persons by the victims' father, who had alleged that Amrik Singh and the three others had abducted her daughters and took them to Jammu, where they repeatedly raped her.

The court, however, acquitted Amrik Singh, finding him not guilty.
