Rahul greets Stalin for taking over as party working chief

: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today greeted DMK working president M K Stalin on the latter assuming the top post of the main opposition party in Tamil Nadu.

"Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today greeted M K Stalin over phone for taking charge as DMK working president," a DMK release said here.

Stalin took over as DMK working president on January 4 here after the party general coucil meet made necessary amendments in party rules to facilitate the 63-year-old leader's elevation.

Stalin, also the party treasurer, stepped down as party youth wing chief on Jan 6 after holding that post for over three decades.
