Light to moderate rains lashed many parts of Punjab and Haryana today, with maximum temperatures settling below the normal.
Chandigarh, which received light rains until early morning, recorded a high of 35 degrees Celsius, MeT office said.
Ambala in Haryana, which received light showers, recorded a high of 34.3 degrees C, two notches below normal while Bhiwani registered a high of 34 degrees C after being lashed by showers.

Hisar registered a five degrees below normal high at 34 degrees C, five notches down while Karnal recorded a maximum of 34.4 degrees C after being lashed by rains.
In Punjab, Amritsar, which received rains, recorded a high of 33.5 degrees C, four notches below normal.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 34.9 degrees C, down two notches after receiving light rains while Patiala's maximum settled at 35.1 degrees C.
According to a MeT office forecast, light to moderate rains or thundershowers may occur at few places in the two states during the next two days.
