Light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred at isolated places over eastern region but weather remained dry in the western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Met office said total amount of rainfall recorded in cms was- Tarabganj-4 and Kakrahi-1.
Day temperatures rose in Faizabad, Lucknow, Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, they said.
They were appreciably above normal in Allahabad, Bareilly, Meerut divisions, above normal in Varanasi, Moradabad divisions and were normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Etawah was the hottest place in the state recording 44.8 degrees Celsius followed by Jhansi with 42.3 degrees and Allahabad with 42.2 degrees C.
The state capital Lucknow recorded the maximum of 39.8 degrees Celsius.
MeT department has forecast that rain and thundershowers would occur at isolated places over the next two days.
