Rains, thundershowers at isolated places in UP

Light to moderate rains and thundershowers occured at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, as day temperature fell in Bareilly but Allahabad was the hottest place at 46.3 degrees, MeT officials said today.

According to the MeT department, rainfall was recorded in Dhaurahra, Nanpara, Kheri, Nighashan and Aligarh.

Temperature appreciably fell in Bareilly and was above normal in Allahabad, Moradabad, Kanpur, Jhansi and Meerut.

Allahabad was the hottest place in the state, where maximum temperature touched 46.3 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department in its forecast said that weather is most likely to remain dry on May 18 and May 19 over east Uttar Pradesh.
 

Thunderstorms accompanied with squall are very likely at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh on May 18, they said.
