Moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh even as Etawah recorded highest temperature of 42.6 degrees Celsius.
According to MET department, Maharajganj recorded 5 centimetres of rainfall while Ghazipur received 3 cm.
Light showers were also reported from Varanasi, Ballia, Dumariaganj and Shahjahanpur.
Etawah recorded the maximum temperature in the state at 42.6 degree Celsius.
