Three personnel of Gujarat Police were today arrested by Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from a man here.
The accused head constable and two constables had demanded the bribe from Sunil for not making him an accused in a case of illegal transportation of liquor, DySP of Anti Corruption Bureau, Rajasthan, Neelkamal said.
Sunil's car was seized by police in Banaskantha district in Gujarat sometime back in the case of illegal transportation of liquor, he said.
The accused policemen demanded the bribe from Sunil for not making him an accused in the case.
"After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid. The policemen came to Jaipur and they were nabbed by our team while taking the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 from Sunil at a juice center near Jawahar circle," he said.
The accused have been arrested under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
