Rajiv Kumar takes over as EO

Senior IAS officer Rajiv Kumar today took over as Establishment Officer and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel.

Kumar, a 1984-batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, was working as Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Finance Ministry.

"He has taken over the new post from today," a senior Personnel Ministry said.

Kumar has been appointed as EO and Additional Secretary in the Ministry in the vacancy of B P Sharma, who was earlier appointed as Health Secretary.

The Establishment Officer's Division processes all proposals for senior government appointments.
