A court near here has sentenced a man convicted for raping a minor girl to 10 years imprisonment while four others were awarded five years jail term for abducting the victim.
Additional Session Judge B K Gupta in Sabalgarh, in his judgement delivered yesterday, awarded 10 years imprisonment to convict Dhiraj Jaga for raping the victim (14) by forcibly marrying her on March 12, 2013, Assistant Government Pleader Ramesh Verma said today.
According to the prosecution, the victim was abducted by a person and handed over her to Dhiraj and Gudda Jaga and were later joined by relatives -- Jaswant Jaga, Laxminarayan Jaga and Ashok Jaga.

All of them took the girl to Gwalior where she was forcibly married to Dhiraj, who later raped her, it said.
Following a complaint, the police arrested Dhiraj, Jaswant, Laxminarayan, Ashok and Gudda and submitted the case for trial in the court.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on all the five convicts, the prosecution added.
