RBI sets rupee reference rate at 67.5880 against dollar

Rate against euro set at 73.6101

The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 67.5880 against the US dollar and 73.6101 for the euro.

These rates were 67.4325 and 73.3868, respectively, on Friday.

According to an RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were quoted at 96.4819 and 57.68 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The SDR-rupee rate will be based on this rate, the statement added.
