Refined soya oil prices were trading up by 0.17 per cent to Rs 775.70 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets, tracking a firm trend at the spot market on pick-up in demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May edged higher by Rs 1.30, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 775.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 57,400 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April was trading up by 75 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 765.50 per 10 kg in 8,400 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by traders following a rise in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
