A court in Sri Lanka today extended till February 3 the remand of 15 fishermen, arrested on January 2 by naval personnel of the island nation off Katchathivu islet.
The fishermen were produced before the court at Puthalam, which extended their remand to that date, U Arulanandam, President of Pamban Innocent Fishermen's Organisation said.
The 15 fishermen with three boats were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy personnel on Jan 2 when they were fishing near Katchateevu and later lodged in prison at Neergolumbu.
