The Indian RC Dirt Series Round Two-National Championship Race will be held here from September 27.
Thirty racers from various states are participating in the two-day meet and cars being run are 1/8th scale off-road 4WD Buggy powered by methanol, G D Rajkumar, Director of the event, said in a release today.
The cars are identical to real cars in terms of technology, except that it does not have a Gear Box and the intention of this event is to get more children and teenagers to get interested in automobile engineering and general engineering by having practical hands on experience and at the same time for them to have fun, he said.
Kovai Modelers Club and Coimbatore Radio Control (RC) Racers Association are organising the event at GEDEE Driving Institute, he said.
