Remote controlled IED recovered in Manipur

Assam Rifles jawans recovered a remote controlled improvised explosive device, allegedly planted by proscribed militant outfit PLA, from a road in Kamtong district in Manipur, AR officials said.
Weighing three kg, the IED was recovered from a road linking Kamtong village to Skipe village at around 5 pm Wednesday.
The IED, supposedly planted by the banned Peoples' Liberation Army (PLA), was later defused.
The recovery of the explosive device was based on a "highly accurate intelligence input by Manipur Police", they said.
