Remove liquor outlets from near education institutions:ABVP

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a right-wing all India students organisation, today urged the State government to take steps to remove all liquor outlets functioning near educational institutions and student hostels.
In a memorandum submitted to the district collector, Archana Patnaik, ABVP State Secretary, M Senthil said the government has to come forward to create awareness about the ill effects of smoking and other drugs to save students from addiction.
Appealing to introduce yoga as compulsory lesson in all schools and colleges to lead the students adopting right path, he said the teachings of Swami Vivekananda should also become part of the curriculum.
