Reserved seats for women in Shivneri buses on three routes

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will keep ten seats reserved for women in its high-end Shivneri bus service on Mumbai-Pune, Mumbai-Nashik and Mumbai-Aurangabad routes, the government said today.

The quota would come into effect from August 19, this year's Raksha-bandhan day.

Maharashtra transport minister Diwakar Raote made the announcement in the Legislative Assembly here today.

Seat numbers 3 to 12 will be reserved for women in these buses.
