Filmmaker Ridley Scott is in talks to direct 'The Martian', which stars Matt Damon in the lead role.
Simon Kinberg has come aboard as a producer alongside his executive Aditya Sood through Kinberg's Genre Films banner, reported Variety.
Fox executive Steve Asbell will oversee the project for the studio.
