Road accident kills 11 in Siberia

Eleven people were killed and 28 injured in a bus accident today near the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, police said.

Details of the accident, which occurred (44 miles) west of the city, were sketchy.

The regional governor has ordered a day of mourning, his office said.

Russia has a dismal road safety record, due mainly to poor roads and bad driving. In 2014, nearly 27,000 people died in traffic accidents.
