Blaming the previous AINRC government for the delay in construction of the Rs 39 crore railway over bridge on the Puducherry-Villianoor railway route, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today said it would be completed in nine months.
Talking to reporters after inspecting the construction work along with PWD Minister A.Namassivayam, he said the foundation for the bridge at Arumbathapuram level crossing was laid in September 2013 and the then UPA regime had sanctioned Rs 30 crore for it.
However, the previous AINRC government did not contribute its share for the link road, resulting in the slow progress of the work, he said.
His government would make its contribution to get the bridge ready in next nine months, the Chief Minister said.
